The Poppadoms

The Poppadoms were a short-lived pop/funk outfit, began and then disbanded by songwriter and frontman [Paul McDermott]. Influenced by the likes of Madness, Squeeze and Dexys Midnight Runners, they utilised a horn section to give their songs an added 'oomph'.

The initial line-up featured [Neil McDermott] (The Boy Cartographer) on drums and Paul's friend [Kenny McConnachie] (Donut) on bass, but the band went on a hiatus after the release of the home-recorded album Now Playing.
